- Measure and cut a string to the exact length as the necklace you are thinking about buying.
- Take the string that you cut and place it around your neck and see where it sits. If you are buying a pendant as well then think about the size and shape of the pendant.
- Lastly, cut more pieces of the string with different measurements to see how and where necklaces of different lengths will sit on your neck and body.
